why the huskies?
Playing for the Boston Jr Huskies means joining an organization that puts player development first while competing at the highest levels of the game. With a proven pathway through Youth Hockey, the Huskies provide athletes with top-level coaching, a professional environment, and the support needed to reach the next stage of their hockey journey. Rooted in tradition and driven by excellence, our program emphasizes accountability, teamwork, and growth creating a culture where players are challenged to improve on the ice, succeed off it, and feel part of a strong hockey community.
Our Facility
The Canton Ice House opened its doors in September 2016, featuring 2 NHL sized rinks, a full menu Cafe located upstairs overlooking both rinks, The Ice House is home to several local area high school teams, an elite private club program, several local youth hockey programs, college programs, junior teams and a premier figure skating club. The Ice House will host several large regional hockey tournaments each year.
Throughout the year, the Ice House offers learn to skate and learn to play hockey programs. Each week, local Youth, High School, College, Junior League and Women’s and Men’s leagues will play over 35 games and hold more than 100 practices at the Ice House. Overall, the Ice House will have over 750,000 visitors each year.
